The play "The Hague" by the Ukrainian playwright Sasha Denisova, written shortly after the start of the war, is a grotesque, funny and ominous "phantasmagoria" based on real events and people connected with the Russian war in Ukraine.

"The Hague" organizes an imaginary trial at the Hague Tribunal against the war crimes of Putin and his inner circle, played out in the fantasy of a little girl who keeps a diary of her terrible daily life in Ukraine.

The text intertwines different facets of the political and ideological realities of the Russian Federation together with fragments of real war stories and documentary elements of family tragedies located in a non-linear plot, creating an image of war in the cognitive and cognitive sense of the girl. emotional world
